Construction

Construction began May 2005 and is scheduled to complete in December 2006. More photos are available at www.tughill.org.


May 2005: The concrete batch plant off of Rector Road was constructed to provide the 350 yards of concrete needed for each turbine.
A local concrete company was used for Phase II.



Construction off the access roads off of Snyder and Borkowski Roads.


350 yards of concrete was needed for each turbine.


August 2005: First turbine up


Lowering blade to a hub for assembly. Blades are 130 feet long and weigh 7,500 lbs



More blade maneuvering.  The blades were made in England and Pennsylvania.
