Horizon Wind Energy, formerly Zilkha Renewable Energy, develops, constructs, owns, and operates wind farms throughout the United States. In March, 2007, Energias de Portugal, S.A. (“EDP”), a major Portuguese utility, signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of Horizon Wind Energy LLC from Goldman Sachs.  Horizon benefits from EDP’s strong commitment to renewables and their deep operations management experience.  Horizon continues to move forward with its current business opportunities and will have greater resources to devote to them.
